I suggest booking your excursion through the ship or a travel agency when you are visiting Barbados. We didn’t. We thought that ship’s prices are too high and we took a taxi to Marine’s Reserve planning to take a snorkeling tour right there. Big mistake! The guys on the boat constantly were picking up and dropping people from and to different spots/hotels (they were getting calls on their radios). That took most of our promised 1,5 hour “snorkeling tour.” We got not more than 10 minutes snorkeling in one spot and maybe 15 minutes on another. The snorkeling gear was terrible and they didn’t have children’s masks and tubes. My daughter loves snorkeling, but was very frustrated because water was getting into the mask and a tube. We spent time fixing her gear instead of snorkeling and guys on the boat were careless. When my daughter said to the guys that they should’ve had children’s size gear, they told her to shot up. They also said: ”Everybody hates you, Americans.” That was my worst travel experience (and we travel a lot!). I will never come back to Barbados again!
