Belize was very nice and clean. I booked a shore excursion through the ship to the New River and Lamini (Mayan Ruins) it is 7.5 hour long excursion and I strongly recommend booking it through the ship, because if you are late getting in or getting back the ship will not leave without you. We tendered in about 1.5 hours late due to the Belize authority taking forever to clear the ship.

The excursions said it was a ½ hour bus ride to the river but it was more like an hour and 15 minutes. Our guide was great and kept us entertained the whole way. The river portion was much like the everglades a lot of wildlife and crocodiles. We had a great lunch upon arrival and went to the ruins, which I thought were great! It was a 15-minute walk through the rain forest with howler monkeys in the treetops above. If you want a really good look at Belize book this tour we had a great time and a relaxing day. Just a little shopping at the port terminal. No beaches. If you wanted to snorkel you had to do a boat excursion.
