Coco Cay, Bahamas Port Review

Charlie

What an island! It is awesome and we got off the ship about 8:30 and then went straight to the snorkel shack. We got our instructions on how to use the equipment and then got in the water, which was a little chilly till you sat down to get your fins on, and then it was just right. We did we see fish from the minute I put my face in the water and I saw plenty of fish of all different kinds and colors from small to big (40 pounds.) I went out to see the plane wreck and saw fish running in and out of it and then went out to the raft and where the guard tower was and could not believe my eyes seeing all the fish. They were actually posing for me and swarming all around me. When I was taking some great pics underwater, my wife came up to me and grabbed my leg and about scared the you know what out of me. She laughed so hard that she got a mouth full of salt water, then I laughed and I drank some too.  We snorkeled for about 3 hours and then we chose to lay on the beautiful beach to dry and warm up and look at the sites.

We had front row seats at the beach until the people that slept late and drank too much got there about 11:30. Then they started grabbing for all the untaken chairs and made new rows in front of ours (oh well it was fun to watch them too). They ended up making a human pyramid that crashed to the ground. I'm sure you can imagine. Oh and I can't forget to say that the coco locos are very good too (even without the booze).  At 12 noon lunch on the island was an awesome buffet with all the food you could want and it was very good. It really hit the spot after swimming and snorkeling. We went back to ship about 2:30.
