Coco Cay, Bahamas Port Review

Ryan Buttram

Coco Cay is great. It is almost Disney like with its bright colors and extreme cleanliness. We bought no excursions opting to lounge on the beach instead. We did learn that a mask and snorkel rental is $24.00pp for the day. You can buy a mask and snorkel for $9.00 at Wal Mart. We were surprised that the island service staff were servers from the boat in tropical shirts. We later joked that we saw our dining room server drive the tender and drive the ship too. Just a joke but these guys really multitask on the cruise. Coco Cay was extremely relaxing and the lunch BBQ buffet was one of the best meals of the cruise. Take a camera because you’ll want to show all your friends the tropical oasis. We didn’t find lockers anywhere on the beach so we left all our money and belongings on our loungers. We never worried about them disappearing but it was rather foolish in hindsight, still no problems though. Note: Bring a towel, there are none on the island. Buy a Coco Loco you’ll like it. I promise, you’ll see. Coco Cay was fun.
