Dominica Shore Excursion Review

Cindy Gill

Dominica is a beautiful island. We did the whale watching/snorkel tour in the AM. We were taken on a boat with about 20-30 total people. The guides were very knowledgable about the marine life in the area. They also had a hydrophone for listening to the whales underwater. We saw 6 whales (1 mother and calf). They then took up to a fabulous area to snorkle with the "champagne bubbles". There was wonderful underwater life. After a quick lunch on the boat, we found a guide to take us to Trafalgar Falls and tour the area for $20/person. (the ship excursion was over $50 for this same tour). There were 4 of us in the van. He would stop along the way to let us experience the spices, plant life and animals of the unspoiled land. He also personally guided us to Trafalgar Falls. I highly recommend both of these tours.

Check out the shore excursions available in Dominica.
