Dominican Republic Shore Excursion Review

Jonathon Elston

The next stop was in the Dominican Republic. If you are a history buff, you will like this stop. Take the tour to the city of Santa Domingo! The city is actually an hour and half away from the port but well worth the trip. It is rich with history and walks through the very places where Columbus and his crew began the conquest of the Americas. The city walking tour also included a nice lunch at a beautiful downtown resort. Prepare yourself for a different driving experience however! I am not sure if I should say they are bad drivers for what they do or whether they are very skilled drivers for being able to pull it off without anyone getting killed. If you don’t like history, you may be hard pressed to find much to do that you’ll enjoy. There were not many nearby beaches available to the ship. Although a taxi cab driver may be able to offer more and for a better price.
