Grand Cayman
Tania
Didn’t spend much time here. We decided to
treat it as a shopping day. There were 5 ships in port that day, so the
shopping area was VERY hectic. I hear that when the full 8 ships are in,
they close the area to traffic. I am surprised that they don’t even with
5. There were people all over the place, but if you ventured one block up
from the main road, the people significantly thinned out, as did the
stores.
I was not impressed at all with the shopping, but then I don’t go in for
the high end, brand name shopping. Grand Cayman is rich country and the
shopping reflects it! Unless you want to spend a fortune, are in for the
brand names stuff or want to buy the usual really cheap tourist crap,
don’t bother. All I bought after two hours of walking around was a cheap
necklace and a Hard Rock T-shirt. If your stopping at Cozumel, save your
shopping for there!
