Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman was the most progressive port
that we stopped in on the Western Caribbean cruise. Finding Captain
Marvin's was easy and organized. We travelled in a very nice, air
conditioned van and made our way to the boat. The area reminded me alot of
south Florida. Very nice. The company was very well organized. Our first
stop was Coral Garden's reef. This was absolutely beautiful snorkeling. We
took all our children; ages, 15, 13, 9 & 6. Everyone did well for 1st-time
snorkeling. Captain Marvin's had all the snorkeling equipment we needed
and everything fit wonderfully. No problems. The only complaint I have is
that the snorkeling time was maybe only 30 minutes, at most. This was a
bit disappointing. We really would have enjoyed a much longer time
snorkeling. After this, it was out of the water and onto Stingray Island.
Okay, I did not enjoy this. I grew up in S. Florida and was taught all my
life to AVOID the stingrays and on this trip, we are encouraged to get
into the water and play with the stingrays. Not exactly my idea of fun.
haha. Several other families were on this trip and their young children
were crying to GET OUT of the water. I'm not sure they were enjoying this
experience. haha Overall, we had a wonderful time. The snorkeling was
absolutely worth it. I do wish that we had been alotted more time, though.
I give the whole trip a "7" out of 10.
