Lori Curtis
We booked the Stingray tour through Captain
Marvin’s. Tendering off the ship is no problem. This was our worst day
though!! It was raining a little as we tendered off the ship. We took the
very quick walk to Captain Marvin’s (highly recommend this Company). We
got on their boat about 40 minutes later (you take a 5 minute bus ride to
the dock) and headed out to sea. The seas were a little rough. We got in
the water and it started to POUR. I mean, hurt your skin, waves crashing
over us and everything. A lot of people stayed in the water, but we chose
to get out after 5 minutes. I kept getting hit by waves and just choking
on the salt water. The Captain of the boat called everyone in after about
20 minutes because it was just getting to rough and windy. The skies were
black. Pretty awesome sight if you weren’t on a boat shivering in a wet
towel! The Captain then said we would NOT be snorkeling at the Reef
because it would be too dangerous. I think he made a good decision, most
of the passengers agreed. We did make one more stop at the Coral Gardens,
the weather calmed down a bit. It was beautiful! However, pouring rain on
the ride back.
