Labadee, Hispaniola
J Dalles
The first port was
Labadie in Haiti. The setting is very picture post card. The spot RCI uses
is very remote and I suspect, surrounded by unseen high chain link
fencing. We were to have done parasailing there but the swells were too
high (10 foot) so some of us traded to wave running, and the rest did
without. The cove was beautiful from the ship's deck, where we watched our
family do their excursion; with the blue water and leafy hills, it looked
like paradise. The ship's entertainment crew members double as the
coordinators of the shore excursion at Haiti, so we were able to talk with
some of them.
