Allyson Quick Well, what can you say about this port of call? It’s pushy, it’s dirty and it’s well just all right I guess. First of all our “tour guide” (which was actually fiancée’s father) booked all of our trips 2-3 months ago on the Internet. This is the way to go! Everything was much cheaper. The only draw back to doing this is that “Carnival excursions take precedence.” You will be told this over and over. Brian and I went on a cave exploration/hike through the mountains. It was….well interesting to say the least. If you have a weak heart my advice is to CLOSE YOUR EYES WHILE YOU’RE ARE DRIVING!! They drive like maniacs. When you’re going 70 miles an hour passing 4 cars at one time with an 18 wheeler headed straight at you, you get a little frightened! Our guides were the nicest guys. They told us a lot about the country and their way of life. (Be thankful for where you live). The caves….there were bats!!! NO ONE MENTIONED BATS!! I guess this should have been common sense, but I must have lost mine. Because there were LOTS OF BATS!!! After the first bat grazed my arm I thought to myself “okay this can’t get much worse.” Boy was I wrong! I had a bat fly into my face!!! Let’s put it this way. The tour was supposed to be 2-2 ½ hours through this cave. We made it through in 35 minutes! I was completely freaked out. But the caves were pretty cool all in all.
