We had been to Jamaica before (Negril-very beautiful) and had seen a lot of the island, so we decided to relax on the beach at "Doctors Cave beach", very nice beach, has food, drinks, clean bathrooms, chairs and umbrellas to rent, definitely try the jerk chicken. It's very close to port (you can see the ship from the beach), you can get a taxi to and from port (approx. $4 each way) they are always waiting outside. It cost about $5 to get on the beach. And please don't be STUPID and try to buy illegal drugs, you will get caught, we had a passenger try to bring it back on board in his towel, unfortunately his bags and his wife's bags were taken off the ship and he spent New Years Eve (GREAT party on the ship) in a Jamaican jail and he will be there for a while.
