I was surprised at how many people really hated the stop in Jamaica. I don’t think it’s as bad as they say. If you are approached, just politely say “no thanks” and usually that will do it. You will probably find yourself saying this quite a lot though. Just be careful where you go. I personally have never wanted to do Dunn’s River Falls, but those I spoke to who went enjoyed themselves. The day we were there, it was Jamaica’s Independence Day and the island was busy gearing up for the festivities. After doing some shopping and getting some rum cakes and coffee, we took a taxi to Doctor’s Cave Beach. There you can chill on the beach or snorkel if you like. There are also water sports you can do. Make sure to stop by Margaritaville for a while and go down their awesome slide before heading back to the boat.
