Nassau
Jonathon Elston
Nassau was a beautiful port with much to do. From SCUBA to
laying in a hammock on Gilligan’s Island, the choices are wide and varied.
And of course, there is also the shopping. For me, I took advantage of the
SCUBA 2-tank dive offered by the Cruise ship. The bad news is that I paid
too much for it- $89.00 and found out that I could have done the same
thing for $25.00. The good news is that the experience was absolutely
outstanding! If you are SCUBA certified, THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT! It was the
best diving experience I have ever had and made getting certified 7 years
earlier well worth it. The crew aboard the diving boat was friendly,
helpful, and very nice. The other trip we did was the Blue Lagoon trip
which is where they take you to the Blue Lagoon Island where the movie of
the same name was filmed as well as Gilligan’s Island TV show. The place
was nice and very beautiful but you didn’t get to stay long before it was
time to return to the ship. And once again, a cheaper price can be found
on the shore.
