 Norwegian Wind

Norwegian Wind has been retired and is no longer in service

Originally built as the Windward in 1993, this ship was renamed Norwegian Wind in 1998 following a spectacular stretching operation carried out by Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany. The addition of the 131 ft. mid-section significantly improved the exterior appearance of this formerly rather "chubby" vessel.

This was our first cruise, and overall, we were very disappointed. The ship, as a whole, was old, smelly and rather nondescript. We went on a 14 day Hawaiian cruise. We could, not, more

My husband and I were first time cruisers, and we loved the idea of free style cruising. We are not "dress up for everything" type of people, so that is one thing more

We really went on the cruise for the excursions and ports—not the ship. We booked three excursions immediately because we were afraid they might sell-out. We initially selected the Pilot’ more
