Roaton, Honduras, the second Port on our Carnival Cruise, was my favorite. We booked a complete tour of the island prior to arriving and were very satisfied with the whole experience. The tour guide was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the history (past and present) and natural history of the island. He knew where we could go in order to see exotic wildlife and also stopped to let us sample the different fruits that grew there. While driving, his narration about the island and its landmarks were fascinating and enjoyable. We also saw ship wrecks, the grounds of a beautiful resort, and the best uncrowded snorkeling of any of the ports we visited. We had beautiful weather throughout the whole cruise.
