St. Croix, USVI

Natasha
Our ship made an unexpected stop at St. Croix to get a fuel. We went on shore and were very surprised by worm welcome from local people. It was getting dark, but all stores and cafes were open just for one ship (us!). The residents even throw a parade, where girls in beautiful costumes were singing and dancing, again, just for tourists of one ship! They provided free shuttle buses from the ship to the pear and back to the ship. When we were leaving, the officer who was checking our cards before letting us into the buses, thanked every person for visiting their island (even though we had only about two ours to spend there), he had warm words for every single tourist and he invited everyone to come back and spend more time on their truly friendly island. The local people in stores were also very friendly (not like residents of St. Maartin or Barbados!). I will definitely come back to this sweet island!
