St. John, USVI Shore Excursion Reviews

Johnnie Jordan

We arrived at St. John at about 10:30am and tendered to shore. Upon arrival we were greeted by a slew of air-conditioned (pronounced "open-air") bus drivers. Some were bound for beaches, others offered sightseeing tours. We decided to do the sightseeing tour. We toured the island for about 2 hours ($14/person) stopping at several scenic spots for photo taking. We also stopped at an abandoned sugar cane plantation for an optional tour ($4/person). Charlie, our driver and guide, was very nice and informative. At the end, he dropped several people off at Trunk Bay beach and took the rest of us to a shopping area about two blocks from the pier where we ate lunch at the Mongoose restaurant-a very good choice for lunch. After lunch, we took the tender back to the ship
