SIL VENERUS MUST SEE AND DO! One of our best excursions was made possible by our taxi driver Vincent Vaval. Our tour lasted about 5 hours with detailed information on history, people and highlights of the island. We took in a quick city tour on our way through winding roads that lead us up to mountain top lookouts. Our journey lead us through the rainforest with breathe taking views of the Pitons. Occasionally we stopped and mingling with local residents of two fishing villages on our way to Sulphur Springs. On our way back we took in the Botanical Gardens and Waterfall before a quick stop to a local beach. Our driver was very detailed and courteous throughout our excursion. On one stop our driver informed us we must try Casava bread. Watching the local villagers shred roots and using a primitive process we were delighted with this island treat.
