We decided to do a tour that Carnival offered, don't do it. It was the bushwacker jeep tour, which sounded great it went something like this: A tour of the island in a jeep with 4 people and a lead vehicle, 2 hours of shopping at a fabulous flea market, Sightseeing, and snorkeling/swimming at a beach for 2 hours. Well it was nothing like that, we drove through the ghettos of St. Martin for 2 hours stuck in traffic with our guide getting us lost, we arrived at this flea market with only a half hour to shop due to the lateness of the tour guide. Our sightseeing consisted of sitting in traffic and going in circles, we finally arrived at the beach which was beautiful however there was no snorkeling and we only had 45 minutes to be there, my recommendation is do not do this tour it ruined our whole day and we saw nothing on St Martin. When we returned to the ship we did complain and got half of the money we paid back. By the way, the tours are not cheap. This one was $90.00 per person and not worth it.
